Improved image processing algorithms
The Axion 2 XQ thermal imaging equipment uses a new approach to image optimization, depending on the purposes and conditions of observation, and provides high-quality rendering of both target objects and background. Three levels of signal amplification combined with an attached smoothing filter and fine brightness and contrast adjustments give the hunter great opportunities for long-range detection of the animal under different weather and temperature conditions and determining its trophy qualities.
High-quality reinforced magnesium alloy housing
Axion is designed for constant, often heavy use. A magnesium alloy housing is light and strong at the same time. The housing reliably protects the internal components of a thermal imaging device from shock, drops, moisture, heat or cold. At the same time, a metal housing effectively removes heat from the electronics, minimizes image noise and increases the consistency of device operation during long-term observation.
Extended battery life. Up to 11 hours on a single charge
A high-capacity APS5 rechargeable battery provides up to 11 hours of continuous thermal imaging on a single charge. The battery is removed from a battery case and replaced with a new one within seconds. The battery is charged in a special charger or in the device from a PC, household power system or power bank via USB-C. The same sources are used for the external power supply of a thermal imaging device.
Enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity with support for 2.4/5GHz waveband
In Axion 2 XQ thermal imagers, the standard frequency range for smartphone connection via a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel is supplemented by an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, faster data transfer rate, noise immunity and improved connection stability, resulting in more productive and easier operation of the thermal imager with a smartphone.
Fast Aperture Lens
Germanium F35/1.0 lens has a high infrared transmission in the LWIR range. Due to the high-precision manufacturing of the optical elements of the lens, the image generated by the Axion 2 XQ thermal imager sensor is distinguished by its clarity and detail.
Long Range Laser Distance Meter
Understanding target distance is an essential factor in making the right decisions. A built-in laser distance meter with a range of up to 1 kilometer allows you to measure distances in single measurements and continuous scan modes with an accuracy of ± 1 meter for a quick and error-free assessment of the situation.
European-made high-sensitivity Lynred sensor
The Axion 2 XQ35 is equipped with a European Lynred sensor with a resolution of 384x288 pixels (pixel size 17 microns), which qualitatively captures a usable signal under difficult observation conditions, such as rain, fog and high humidity at the observation site.
Built-in photo and video recorder. Free 16 GB cloud space
The Axion 2 XQ has a built-in video recorder. The Axion 2 XQ's internal memory can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. One push of a button is enough to take a photo of an interesting scene or to record a video. The footage is copied to a computer's hard drive via a USB-C port. The owner of the Axion 2 XQ has a free hard disk space of 16 GB for storing photos and videos captured with the device in the Pulsar cloud storage. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile application, log in and connect the device to a smartphone via WiFi.
1300 m detection range
A powerful F35/1.0 objective lens combined with a 384x288@17µm highly sensitive thermal imager provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8 m high object can be detected up to 1300 m away in complete darkness.

Variable magnification from 2x to 8x
Digital zoom, up to 4x, provides better focus and better overall object recognition at long distances. The zoom gradually changes in 2x increments or continuously for a truly optimal field of view adapted to a specific situation.
Field of view more than 10 degrees
The Axion 2 XQ thermal imagers are suitable for viewing large areas, observing in motion or for moving objects - the linear field of view is 18.2m at 100m or 10.7° in angle values. The "Picture in Picture" function activates an additional window at the top of the screen, in which the central area of the observed scene is magnified 2 or 4 times. This makes it possible to combine the informative content of a wide field of view with detailed observation of the selected object.
A selection of 8 color palettes
A choice of 8 color palettes allows the user to observe their field of view more effectively, allowing them to optimize the device for specific tasks and respond to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot are optimal for object detection, Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase the chances of recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are best suited for long night observation.
Remote control and firmware update from smartphone via Stream Vision 2 app
Built-in Wi-Fi connects the Axion 2 XQ to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile application. This opens up a wide range of options, including software updates for wireless devices, real-time image transfer from the device to the smartphone screen, social media publishing of photo and video content captured by the device or transferred to messengers, remote control of digital device features and access to the latest news from Pulsar. In addition, registered users receive 16 GB of cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device.

Pocket size and light weight
Axion 2 XQ has a space-saving and pocket-sized design and weighs 350 grams. The device is easy to grip and operate by right-handed and left-handed people thanks to its symmetrical design and in-line buttons on the top panel.
High Contrast AMOLED Display
A high contrast AMOLED display with VGA resolution has improved color reproduction, energy saving and fast response, ensuring sharp and smooth images even under icy conditions.
Quick Boot
The Axion 2 XQ has a short power-on time: the device is fully functional within 5 seconds of pressing the ON button. Fast start-up helps save battery power: the Axion 2 XQ doesn't have to be ready when you're hunting, just turn it on when you need it.
IPX7 fully waterproof
IPX7 waterproof for protection against heavy rain, snow or other precipitation. The device is designed to operate smoothly, even after submersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
