Thanks to the large 28 × 22 mm viewing window and advanced multi-layer lens coatings, the Osight R offers a wide and clear view of the target. This allows targets to be picked up quickly and smooth transitions between different aiming points. The sight features a 2 MOA red dot and a 65 MOA circle, which can be used separately or combined. The 2 MOA dot is suitable for precise shot placement, while the larger circle aids in rapid target acquisition at close range. With 1× magnification, parallax-free operation, and unlimited eye relief, the Osight R is designed to provide an intuitive aiming image in a variety of situations. A notable feature of the Osight R is the protective lens cap system. The sturdy protective caps protect the front and rear of the sight when not in use. Furthermore, the front cap can be replaced with the included ARD, which helps to reduce glare and unwanted reflections at the front of the lens. The sight utilizes a compact Micro T1/T2 mounting point and comes standard with a 39 mm co-witness mount, allowing you to mount it on standard Picatinny weapons. For other configurations, optional mounts with an optical centerline height of 30.7 or 49 mm are available. The housing is manufactured from CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum, giving the Osight R a sturdy yet relatively lightweight construction. With the standard mount and battery, the entire unit weighs 190 grams, and thanks to its IPX8 water resistance, the sight is suitable for use in demanding conditions. For quick and easy operation, the Osight R features Motion Activation Technology. The sight automatically activates as soon as motion is detected and switches off again after three minutes of inactivity. The user has access to twelve brightness levels, nine for daylight use and three for night vision. Night vision settings can be quickly selected via the dedicated NV button. Furthermore, the memory function remembers the last used brightness setting. The CR2032 battery provides a stated runtime of up to 83,000 hours in the 2 MOA dot mode. When the battery level drops, the sight gives a clear warning by flashing the aiming light three times.
