in low light conditions. With 60 black LEDs and an extremely light-sensitive sensor,

Easy to install - thanks to the sophisticated design
Setting up the ZEISS Secacam 3 wildlife camera is particularly user-friendly and
quick. Thanks to the live view on the 1.9-inch display, you can align the camera in real time and
immediately see whether the selected image section is optimal. A particularly practical feature is the new
TEST button, which allows you to quickly take a test photo after alignment and have it sent directly to your
smartphone. This allows you to check immediately whether the mobile connection
is working properly without having to go to the camera menu. This saves time and
makes setting up the camera even easier and your wildlife camera is ready to use straight away.

Innovative features - with the ZEISS Secacam app

The ZEISS Secacam app offers comprehensive functions for remote control of the camera and real-time notifications about new recordings or camera status changes. You can view photos in
clearly arranged galleries and track the camera's location on a map. You can give
other people access to the camera, with limited or full rights. In addition,
offers AI-based animal recognition that identifies animals in the images.

The ZEISS Secacam 3 wildlife cameras are designed for extreme weather conditions and offer excellent protection thanks to
their robust, sealed bodies with IP66 certification. It works
reliably at temperatures from -25 °C to +65 °C, whether in storms, rain or snow. High-quality
components such as the motion detector, photo sensor and transmitter module are perfectly coordinated
and extremely energy-efficient, meaning that batteries are rarely required.

Always keep an eye on your territory - thanks to optimized transmission capability

The high-performance LTE module of the ZEISS Secacam enables extremely fast transmission
of images and videos, even in difficult network conditions. This significantly reduces energy consumption
and extends battery life. The supplied multi-roaming SIM automatically selects
the best available network at the location, as it can dial into networks of different providers
. It is also possible to send pictures from all EU countries and Switzerland,
at no additional cost. Thanks to the fair pricing model, the price per photo transmission is less than 2 cents.

Advanced animal recognition + "Color the Night"

The artificial intelligence (AI)-based animal recognition of ZEISS wildlife cameras is an advanced technology optimized for hunting use. Animals are automatically identified in images and videos and highlighted with a colored frame. With the "Color the Night" feature, night shots are recolored to obtain detailed images even in the dark.

ZEISS IR Boost technology
A special highlight is the ZEISS IR Boost technology. It enables excellent image quality at 940 nm infrared light, which remains invisible to game. The image quality corresponds to that of 850 nm IR light - but without disturbing the natural behavior of the animals. This perfect combination of performance and inconspicuousness makes the ZEISS Secacam 3 the ideal choice for precise and reliable surveillance in the wild. Image quality:
-The new chipset offers improved image processing and compression (H265) for faster transmission and crystal clear video.
-"Sees better than the human eye": The pixels of the new sensor are four times larger than the pixels of the Secacam 5/7, allowing the Secacam 3 to significantly improve the light yield compared to the other cameras.
-Improved image processing for 940 nm (not visible in the dark) IR photography
Advantage: Superior performance in low light conditions. This is comparable to a flash with 850 nm, which would be visible (glowing red) in the dark.

Setup has never been easier:
-As with the Secacam 7, aligning the Secacam 3 is extremely simple, as you can see the live image of the camera on the display while you reposition the camera.

PIR Fresnel lens
The details:
-The new PIR Fresnel lens has a shiny surface compared to the matte surface of the Secacam 5 + 7
-A shiny Fresnel lens is generally more reliable for PIR sensors as it transmits infrared light better and focuses with less scattering, ensuring more accurate motion detection. Matte surfaces scatter the light more and reduce detection accuracy, especially for smaller or distant objects
-benefit: The lens improves the resolution of the sensor, making it more sensitive to movement (up to 5 m more range), so that even smaller or more distant animals are more likely to be detected

ZEISS SecaTrack
Increase the chance of finding a stolen camera

ZEISS SecaTrack is a service that allows users to locate their stolen camera if it has been removed from its installed location. It will be available for the Secacam 3, 5 + 7 after the corresponding firmware update.
The service must first be activated in the app.
When the camera is then switched off, the camera sends the GPS position of the camera to the ZEISS Secacam app every 10 minutes. The camera also takes a picture every time it sends the location.
This allows the user to track the position of the camera and identify the potential thief.
The function will be available in all three subscription packages.

16:9 picture/video format

In comparison with, for example, the Secacam 5:

Both cameras have a Lens with a 60° field of view, but due to the combination of Lens and
sensor format, the Secacam 3 has a 9% wider horizontal field of view, but a narrower one in the vertical direction. This allows
the hunter to cover a wider area in the horizontal plane, giving them the ability to observe a larger area
increasing the chance of taking additional game.

Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware updates

Always the latest firmware and features

OTA is a feature that allows the user to update the firmware without having to download it to an SD card first.

When the camera is switched on, it checks whether new firmware is available in the backend. If this is the case, the firmware files are downloaded
-After downloading, the user can trigger the firmware update by going to the menu and selecting "Firmware Update".
-Benefit: The user does not have to worry about which is the latest FW file and always has the latest features (e.g. live streaming) available as soon as they are released.
-In a future version of the app, the user will also be able to initiate the firmware update via the app

New resolutions for images on SD card
The ZEISS Secacam 3 offers four different resolutions:
-5 megapixels (3072 x 1728)
-8 megapixels (3840 x 2112)
-12 megapixels (4800 x 2560)
-24 megapixels (6400 x 3600)
Although the image sensor of the ZEISS Secacam 3 only has 3 MP, the minimum image resolution stored on the SD card is 5 MP. This is because it simplifies the synchronization process with the backend and the app.
The resolution of the images on the SD card is irrelevant for most users, as the images sent have a maximum resolution of 2 MP (Full HD).
Competitors that boast resolutions of >24 MP do not offer the customer any real added value

Integrated memory
-The ZEISS Secacam 3 now offers an integrated 32GB memory.
-benefit: This increases the reliability of the system as SD cards sometimes get damaged or have a bad contact, resulting in image loss or a camera not working properly
-In addition, it increases security as the memory cannot be removed from the device by someone else, unlike an SD card
-The Secacam 3 is able to, Copy files to an external USB-C stick to facilitate file transfer on the go

Improved, direct status information
The ZEISS Secacam app provides you with three status indicators that show you the status of the remaining storage space on the SD card/internal memory, the reception quality and the battery status. In the past, these indicators may not have been 100% accurate, as the "daily report" is only sent every 24 hours and the system only marks the camera as offline if it does not hear from the camera within 48 hours.
The new ZEISS Secacam 3 solves this problem by sending a status report every time it is switched on or off or when the battery power is running low and the camera switches off due to low voltage.
Benefits: The user always knows the exact status of his camera and can react accordingly.

Control photos
In many countries, it is a legal requirement for hunters to check their traps at certain intervals (e.g. every 12 hours in Germany). The control photo function allows the hunter to comply with the law without having to physically visit the traps to check whether they are empty or full.
With the photo control, you can set two specific times in a 24-hour interval at which the Secacam takes a photo and sends it to the ZEISS Secacam app.
For this reason, the Danish Ministry of the Environment, for example, advises the use of our cameras, as they meet the requirements of the legal regulations.
